New arrivals at Field and Fawcett
Field and Fawcett Wine Merchants and Delicatessen was founded in August 2006 by Peter and Cathryn Fawcett.
After 22 years in the wine trade, Peter decided it was about time he set out on his own. He invited his wife Cathryn to go on the journey with him to run a delicatessen alongside his wines.
First 'egg' made Chardonnay in NZ, these concrete egg fermenters are represented on the beautiful label. This creates a textural and rich Chardonnay with excellent purity. Hand picked fruit from the Mendoza clone, this is a magnificent Chardonnay and it's getting a cult following, you'll only see it in the finest restaurants and it's never on the shelves for long - this is a stellar release.
Mouth-filling juicy peachy upfront fruit which is enticing with a creamy texture, salivating acidity and a long warm finish. Roast a juicy, plump chicken, potatoes and fennel and crack a bottle, superb combo.
Unfortunately The Café at Field & Fawcett is currently closed as a result of the Coronavirus outbreak. Whilst social distancing measures are in place we feel that the most responsible course of action is for the cafe to remain closed. You still can however enjoy the wonderful delights of F&F with a full takeaway menu, new homemade ready meals, freshly baked bread, sweet & savoury treats freshly prepared on site as well as a fully stocked cheese fridge and new food hall stocking a vast array of local and continental products.
We will be sure to keep you updated as and when possible but in the meantime thank you for all your support pre & post lockdown.
