Villa Zarri dates back to 1578. The brandy is made by distilling Trebbiano grapes grown in Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna. The first fundamental element in the production of a brandy is the quality of the wine to be distilled, and it should be stressed that not all wine is suitable for this purpose. The ideal base wine should be perfectly clear, low in aromatics, high in acidity and quite resistant to oxidation.
The name 'Traditional Blend is due to the fact that traditionally the brandy is made up of a mixture or blend of various distillates of different years and ages. The number of years on the label refers to the most recent year present in the blend.
Clear mahogany colour, with a complex and fine bouquet of pearl barley, sweet liquorice and dried banana. Other undertones of toffee, pine kernels and vanilla are also present.
