Dalmore 15 Year Old

Dalmore Distillery was founded in 1839 by Sir Alexander Matheson and is located in Alness, in the Northern Highlands of Scotland, on the banks of the Cromarty Firth. The distillery is operated by Whyte & Mackay, producing a range of official bottlings, with the 15-year-old being its iconic expression. 

The Dalmore 15 is a prime example of the distillery's signature style. It spends 12 years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks before a further 3-year finish across three hand-selected sherry casks - Amoroso, Apostoles, and Matusalem Oloroso - each adding its own unique character to the whisky's base of soft vanilla and honey.

The result is a robust yet elegant spirit, opening with aromas of orange marmalade, cinnamon and nutmeg, giving way to flavours of mandarin, vanilla, ginger and crushed apple, before finishing with caramelised orange and rich dark chocolate.
