Royal Lochnagar 12 Year Old

Located just on the edge of the Balmoral estate, this small-scale distillery was originally formed in 1826 before being burnt to the ground by competitors and then eventually rebuilt on the south bank of the river. Following a visit by Queen Victoria, the distillery was granted the title of Royal Lochnagar. Traditionally there single malts are used for blending, the 12-year-old single malt offers a true insight into the style produced by Royal Lochnagar.

Aged in a combination of Ex-bourbon and Ex-sherry Casks, you are greeted with notes of light toffee and oak alongside fresh lychee and candied lemon, with a subtle smoke that lingers without any peat.
