Quinta de la Rosa has been in the Bergvist family since 1906. Known as one of the first producers to embrace the winemaking revolution in the early 1990s, La Rosa is renowned for its premium wines and ports. The estate is located in the heart of the Douro inside the Cima Corgo region. La Rosa's 60 hectares of vines have such a varied range of terroir, which allows them to produce wines with distinctive characteristics.
Produced from a blend of indigenous grape varieties planted at altitude to help maintain the bright and fresh nature of the grapes, the wine is partially fermented in stainless steel with the remainder of the fermentation in French oak. It spends a further 6 months in barriques, resulting in an elegant wine with great richness accompanied by excellent minerality. Bright and expressive white fruit aromas are accompanied by pleasant minerality and rich citrus fruit flavours.
