Leeuwin Estate is one of the founding wineries in the Margaret River Region. This family-owned producer is renowned for creating wines of the highest quality. First planted in 1975 after being converted from a cattle farm, Denis and Tricia Horgan have gained countless accolades over the years. After three generations of producers, they still focus on their main aim: to produce wines of the highest quality that expressively represent the region from which they originate.
The Prelude range is an excellent intro to this iconic Margaret River label. The Chardonnay has flavours of grilled peach, pineapple, lemon curd and sea salt with fresh acidity. Creamy texture and toasty oak, gently nodding towards Burgundy along the way. Drink now–2028 and likely longer.
