The grapes for the Pinot Noir were sourced from the southern side of the Wairau Valley including the Bancott, Fairhall and Ben Morven sub regions. The soils are aged alluvial gravels which are reltaively free drining with some clay content. The wine displays a nose that is both pure and complex revealing aromas of strawberries, earthy fresh mushrooms and smoky spice. The palate is finely balanced with vibrant core red fruits clad with a silky, luscious lining.
