Located in Santenay at the southern tip of the Cote d'Or, Tom Williams' label Ô MA make small batches of expressive wines, focusing on regional and village appellations with the least amount of intervention to obtain wines with purity of fruit, expressing the vintage and terroir. Most importantly, the focus is on responsible winemaking, sourcing as locally as possible and maintaining sustainable practices.
'Les Tournelles' is a distinguished lieu-dit within the Bouzeron appellation, renowned for its calcareous and clay-rich soils on limestone bedrock that impart distinctive minerality, crisp acidity, and elegance to old vine Aligoté. Aged in 25% new oak with the remainder in old neutral oak, the wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal SO₂, offering a pure and precise expression of Bouzeron's terroir.
