Niepoort Tiara Branco

Niepoort has been an independent family business since its creation in 1842, now run by the 5th generation, Dirk Niepoort. Renowned for his creative and innovative approach to running the family business, Niepoort now produces from over 80 hectares in the Douro which are all organically farmed.

Well known for their fortified wines, they have recently begun to focus on production of unfortified table wines that showcase the very best that the local indigenous varieties have to offer, now producing low intervention wines which focus on elegance and purity.

The Tiara shows a delicate minerality with great complexity - a brilliant expression of high altitude Douro whites. The wine's nose reveals subtle notes of citrus and stone fruits accompanied by a herbaceous note. This is followed on the palate with a full body and great structure. Pairs wonderfully with grilled fish or white meats as well as a vegetable stir-fry or light salad.
