Niepoort, Coche Branco

Niepoort has been an independent family business since its creation in 1842, now run by the 5th generation, Dirk Niepoort. Renowned for his creative and innovative approach to running the family business, Niepoort now produces from over 80 hectares in the Douro which are all organically farmed.

Well known for their fortified wines, they have recently begun to focus on production of unfortified table wines that showcase the very best that the local indigenous varieties have to offer, now producing low intervention wines which focus on elegance and purity.

With a profile resembling that of an outstanding white Burgundy, Coche is Niepoort's flagship wine. A blend of different indigenous varietals produces aromas of ripe citrus, crisp apples and flinty mineral notes, with great structure and balance - truly a wine of great elegance.
