Nikka Miyagikyo Single Malt

Located in the valley of Miyagi, a region in the North of Japan's Honshu island recognised for the purity of its air and the quality of its spring water, the Miyagikyo distillery produces a refined malt with signature fresh fruit and floral aromas. This single malt bottling is the purest expression of the distillery's delicate character, with an emphasis on ex-sherry maturation to bring added depth to this whisky's natural charm.

Deep gold in colour, full & rich with extreme intensensity on the nose, with notes of exotic fruit, liquorice, burnt wood & ash with beeswax making a late apperance.

The palate is firm and lively with malted barley at the heart of the flavour, with spice, herbs & chocolate all on show, the mid-palate then again mixes things up with fresh tobacco leaves and coconut.

Finishing wonderfully with tangy character, think lemons & grapefruit developing into more savoury spice and tobacco with a hint of lychee.
