Wold Top Marmalade Porter, a complex rich dark porter with a sweet malty base, overtones of bitter orange and hints of coffee and chocolate. The name ‘Porter’ came about as a result of its popularity with Eighteenth Century street and river porters.

Having met and enjoyed this unusual beer during a holiday in East Yorkshire, I ordered a shipment for home consumption and am very pleased to renew my acquaintance with this beer. It's a classic porter in strength, flavour, colour and texture, with the addition of a citrus edge, as suggested by its name, which is unusual in a dark beer. It makes a great nightcap but is a pleasure to drink at any time. Field and Fawcett also went the extra mile to get my order delivered when the shipper encountered problems. I would fully recommend this beer to lovers of porter and stout, while the Wold Top name guarantees quality throughout its whole range.
