Kilkerran Heavily Peated #12

Produced at the Glen Gyle distillery, sister to the Springbank distillery, two of the remaining three distilleries remaining in Campbeltown. Known for typically producing lightly peated traditional style campbeltown whiskey, the heavily peated is a more unique expression produced at Glen Gyle. 

Bottled at cask strength, this single malt sits around 45PPM and is matured in predominantly bourbon casks, with a small amount of sherry casks used. Non chill-filtered and without the use of added colour, this is the truest expression of peated Campbeltown whisky.

On the nose, Creamy butterscotch and notes of banana fritters kick off this heavily peated dram. On the palate, the peat smoke is complemented by notes of honeydew melon and iberico ham, finishing on a lingering sweet smoke.
