Produced from a 1 Hectare site in lieu-dit Les Crots where the vineyard is old and yields are small, very small. The wines Gouges manages to craft from this plot are nothing short if remarkable. The nose is perfumed and fresh with vivid cherry and subtle savoury spice. The palate is medium bodied with great energy and finely tuned red berry fruit to begin with before darker fruits muscle in, there's some heady spice and rustic, earthy notes towards the refined finish. Fantastic structure and wonderful complexity.
