A wine of much darker fruits, while retaining the transparency of the Mascarello style. Not heavy, instead its Monforte origin is felt more in the tannins which have a firmness to them, as is typical. Fresh and intense with lavender, violet, blueberries, sage and fresh plum notes washing across the finish to leave a sweet and fruit-based impression.
