The parcels contributing to this blend are situated further inland from the coast, nestled closer to the fertile hillsides and feature soil known as "terre brune" (dark brown earth), characterized by its loamy, clay-rich composition. This distinctive terroir plays a crucial role in producing wines with a rounded profile and distinct minerality.
Elegant and precise, this wine offers a vivid aromatic profile featuring eucalyptus, pepper, and pine notes. The bouquet is reminiscent of local Mediterranean scrub and wild berries. On the palate, smooth tannins frame a core of black cherry, blackberry, and liquorice flavours. Fresh undertones persist through the lingering, expressive finish. The balanced interplay between lively acidity and polished tannins suggests excellent aging potential.
Match with a variety of grilled meats and game, or pair with pizza, pasta, rich stews and casseroles as well as mature cheeses.
