Nestled in rural south Norfolk, Flint Vineyards' location is one of the driest and sunniest spots across the United Kingdom and provides them the perfect conditions to produce expressive and vibrant wines, with an aim to produce the very best that English wine can offer. They create wines with great balance, purity, and flavour. Currently with over 35,000 vines, they aim to expand further and produce an ever-increasing range of exciting wines.
This 100% Bacchus was produced from a number of different parcels across East Anglia. They ferment each parcel of fruit individually to allow unique characteristics to shine through. A mix of production methods is employed, with 60% of vines being crushed and destemmed, resulting in more floral and tropical characteristics in the wine. The remaining 40% is whole bunch pressed to retain acidity.
After ageing for 6 months in concrete or neutral oak barrels, the resulting wine produces a super crisp and complex Bacchus. It offers notes of ripe pear, English apples, violets, and Turkish delight on the nose, with a soft yet structured palate featuring pink grapefruit, almond, alongside a fresh acidity.
