Fettercairn 12 Year Old

Founded in 1824, Fettercain has undergone a rich history over the 200 years of production and has gained a reputation for a unique style of highland whisky caused by the copper tube that runs around the top of the still, continuously dousing the still with cold water, allowing only the finest vapours to rise. Primarily producing whiskey for blended malts in recent years, they have focused more on producing their own single malt range. 

The perfect introduction to Fettercairn and a great example of the quality they produce, known for their lighter style of highland whisky with tropical notes. After ageing in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, it produces notes of vanilla, pears and soft spices before opening up towards more fruited notes of nectarines and tropical fruit before finishing with rich notes of fresh roasted coffee and toffee
