Edradour Lagrein Cask FInish

Originally founded in 1825 by a cooperative of local farmers, Edradour is produced in Scotland's smallest distillery, where they produce only 12 casks a week of this unique single Highland malt.

Distilled at Edradour in 2014, this whisky then spent the next 11 years ageing and developing in first-fill Lagrein red wine casks from Italian producer Michael Eppan. This influence from the barrel is very prominent and helps produce aromas of bright ripe plums and raspberries, as well as a tropical note lingering in the background acompanied by rich vanilla and honey.
