Domaine Giraudon Bourgogne Chitry Blanc

Chitry-le-Fort is a small village, positioned just 12km south west of Chablis. The marl and limestone rich kimmeridgian soils are very similar in composition to their famous neighbour and the vineyards produce comparable tight, mineral Chardonnays. They use exclusively stainless steel for ageing, only natural yeasts and all picking is done by hand. 

Their Chitry Blanc is a lovely golden yellow in colour with a pretty nose that's laced with white flowers and tropical citrus fruit which also make their way to the wonderfully fresh and saline palate. This is a beautifully crafted Chardonnay that demonstrates the value on offer when you come off the beaten Burgundy track.
