Domaine Dujac Morey St Denis Rouge 2021

Jacques Seysses founded Domaine Dujac in Burgundy in 1968, inspired by his father's passion for wine. After learning winemaking at Domaine de la Pousse d'Or, he purchased Domaine Graillet and renamed it with a pun on his own name. His wife Rosalind joined the team in 1973.

Morey-Saint-Denis red wine is produced from six plots located at the foot of a gentle slope (3% gradient) west of the RD 974 road and east of the village. These vineyards sit at altitudes between 249 and 264 meters, with aspects ranging from northeast to due south. The soil is predominantly loamy and less rocky than higher elevations, though some areas contain limestone fragments. The plots are divided between two distinct substrata: some lie on fine deposits that accumulated over millions of years in a fault trough (graben), while others are situated on alluvial fan deposits at the mouth of the Combe de Morey-Saint-Denis valley. This diverse terroir contributes to the wine's unique characteristics.
