Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet "Champs des Charmes" Fixin Blanc

Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet, run by Amélie Berthaut and Nicolas Faure, is located in Fixin where they produce classic Burgundian wines from their 18 Hectares of vines. 

Their Chardonnay vineyard covers an area of 0.50 hectares and is planted on alluvial soils. The vines were established between 2009 and 2015. The winemaking process begins with pressing the grapes, followed by cold settling for 24 to 48 hours. Both alcoholic and malolactic fermentations take place in barrels. After fermentation, the wine undergoes aging for 12 months, also in barrels, to develop its final character and complexity.
