Dalwhinnie Distiller's Edition

Dalwhinnie is Scotland's highest working distillery at 326 metres above sea level. Built in 1897 it draws its water exclusively from Lochan na Doire-uaine in the Drumochter Hills.

Dalwhinnie Destiller's Edition is double-matured in ex-bodega Oloroso cask wood for a rich sweetness and spicy complexity to enhance the heathery, honeyed aromas and tastes of the regular release. Enticingly nutty Oloroso aromas embrace the malty, honeyed whisky on the nose. The palate is softly peaty, heathery, spicy and grapey with a big, spicy buzz and very clear, well defined malt character followed by a quick burst of sweetness then rich and vinous notes before an assertive oak vanilla finish.
