Dalwhinnie Distiller's Edition

 Dalwhinnie double-matured in ex-bodega Oloroso cask wood for a rich sweetness and spicy complexity to enhance the heathery, honeyed aromas and tastes of the regular release. Fresh notes of Oloroso embrace malty, honeyed Dalwhinnie on the nose. Peaty and still heathery. Spicy yet grapey. The palate has a big, spicy buzz, with very clear, well defined malt. A quick burst of sweetness then rich and grapey before Tons of oak on the very, very dry, vanilla lead finish.
