An unusual blend for Bordeaux, 45% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc,19% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Malbec. The combination works fantastically well, creating an unbelievably drinkable glass of claret. Smooth with plenty of dark fruit, there's some subtle minty spice there too along with cherry, licorice and a faint touch of floral aromatics. This is every day Bordeaux at its best.
At a group gathering of friends a bottle of this appeared on the table. From the first taste I knew that it was a little bit better than we have any right to expect of a mere "table wine".
A further glass later in the evening confirmed by initial response so now I have to order some for myself.
This is a very full bodied tasty wine.
