Chateau Burgozone Gamza

Founded in the early 2000s, Chateau Burgozone is a boutique family wine producer in Bulgaria on the slopes of the Danube River, spread over 100 hectares. Their terroir is similar to Tuscany or Southern Rhône, which has allowed them to produce grapes of the highest quality. When it comes to winemaking, Burgozone believes in minimal intervention and is passionate about showing varietal expression, especially in regards to their Gamza, which is the indigenous grape of Bulgaria.

Aged in Bulgarian oak for 6 months prior to bottling, it produces a light ruby-purple wine with aromas of redcurrant, cherry, spices, chocolate and tobacco. On the palate it produces tart cherries and cranberries accompanied by rich spice and dark chocolate. Perfect to pair with roasted duck or traditional hearty Bulgarian dishes.
