Carte Blanche Syrah

Carte Blanche is a high-tech modern winery set inside the walls of a 13th century estate located on the edge of Castelnau-de-Guers. The domaine's vineyards encompass a vast variety of terroir, allowing them to produce a range of characterful and authentic wines. In recent years, the estate has focused on maintaining biodiversity and has been awarded the HVE3 (High Environmental Value level 3) certification in support of this effort.

Produced from 25-30 year old vines on small selected plots around the village, this wine is fermented in concrete with a small portion being finished in oak with minimal sulphur used. This produces a wonderfully smooth Syrah with luscious dark forest fruits and a peppery kick on the finish. This is classic Languedoc with a fresh, modern twist. Excellent value for money too.
