Cantina Terlan Rarita 2008

The mythical 'Rarita' wines from Terlan are special editions of mature white wines that have been left to age on the lees in steel pressure tanks for at least ten years. They are some of the finest expressions in the world, built to last, somehow managing to combine a youthful freshness with a complex maturity. Rarely produced, and when they, it's in very limited quantities, they are as elusive as they are sensational.

The 2008 release is deeply complex and intricate, as all Rarita bottlings are, with a heady combination of lemon balm freshness, herbal-chamomile aromatics and a rounded apricot led richness sitting on a mature, almost flinty base of freshly baked bread.
