Benriach The Twelve

Founded in 1898 by John Duff on the site of an old farm in the heart of Speyside, Benriach is one of Scotland's most characterful single malt distilleries. After closing just two years after opening due to the industry-wide Pattison Crash, it lay largely dormant for over six decades before being revived in 1965. Now regarded as a hidden gem among Speyside whiskies, they are renowned for producing three distinct styles: classic unpeated, highland peated, and triple-distilled.

To make Benriach Twelve, the spirit is three cask matured for at least twelve years in sherry casks, bourbon barrels and port casks. The whisky from each cask is then expertly married together to create a smooth, sherry-rich single malt, layered with baked fruit, maple honey and cocoa, perfectly balanced with a lingering sultana and spiced mocha finish.
