Founded in 1898 by John Duff on the site of an old farm in the heart of Speyside, Benriach is one of Scotland's most characterful single malt distilleries. After closing just two years after opening due to the industry-wide Pattison Crash, it lay largely dormant for over six decades before being revived in 1965. Now regarded as a hidden gem among Speyside whiskies, they are renowned for producing three distinct styles: classic unpeated, highland peated, and triple-distilled.
The Smokey 12 is a perfect combination of fruit, malt, oak, and rich layers of smoke. Produced from a combination of peated and unpeated spirit matured in three different casks for at least 12 years before being blended together to create a smooth, creamy single malt with layers of ripe fruit
