Founded in 1898 by John Duff on the site of an old farm in the heart of Speyside, Benriach is one of Scotland's most characterful single malt distilleries. After closing just two years after opening due to the industry-wide Pattison Crash, it lay largely dormant for over six decades before being revived in 1965. Now regarded as a hidden gem among Speyside whiskies, they are renowned for producing three distinct styles: classic unpeated, highland peated, and triple-distilled.
The Original Ten encapsulates Benriach's signature smooth, multi-layered character. Triple cask matured for at least ten years in bourbon barrels, sherry casks and virgin oak, to create layers of luscious orchard fruit, sumptuous honeyed malt and toasted oak, all interwoven with a subtle trace of smoke. The perfect introduction to the distillery's signature style.
