Balvenie Pedro Ximenez Cask 18 Year Old

Founded in 1889, Balvenie is one of the few remaining distilleries that keep every craft in-house, from malting their own barley to producing their own casks. This Speyside distillery is located in Dufftown just below Glenfiddich, and although they share the same water source, they are hugely different in character. In recent years, Balvenie has gained mass popularity and is one of the most drunk single malts across Scotland.

Initially matured in ex-bourbon American oak barrels for 18 years to produce the traditional Balvenie notes of honey and vanilla before being finished in Pedro Ximinez butts to produce aromas of sweet lavender, mandarin, fig and subtle clove notes.
