Bodegas Rey Fernando de Castilla is named after King Fernando III of Castilla, St. Fernando, who discovered the exceptional properties of the soil and climate in western Andalucia, ideal for viticulture. This small independent sherry house was revitalised by Norwegian Jan Pettersen in 1999, who established Fernando de Castilla as masters of producing fine sherry
