Founded in 1865, Viña San Pedro is one of the largest and oldest exporters of Chilean wine. The main vineyard is over 1,200 hectares and is one of the most extensive vineyards across Latin America.
The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petit Verdot, Carmenère and Cabernet Franc was handpicked and destemmed before being crushed with a smooth press. The juice then goes through a cold maceration for 4-6 days before being fermented for 17 days. The wine is then aged in a mixture of French and American oak barrels for 12 months.
Providing strong aromas of ripe black cherry, blackcurrant, roasted red peppers and treacle. On the palate it is rich with velvety tannins and juicy black fruits. Perfect for big hearty dishes such as roasted game or stews.
