Balvenie Pineau Cask 16 Year Old

Founded in 1889, Balvenie is one of the few remaining distilleries that keep every craft in-house, from malting their own barley to producing their own casks. This Speyside distillery is located in Dufftown just below Glenfiddich, and although they share the same water source, they are hugely different in character. In recent years, Balvenie has gained mass popularity and is one of the most drunk single malts across Scotland.

Matured for 16 years in American oak, producing classic notes of vanilla, spice and warm honeyed notes, then it is further finished in French ex-Pineau des Charentes casks, bringing bright notes of grapefruit, glazed fruit and ginger.
