The first bottling of Christelle’s Muscadet grown in Gneiss soil from old vines. The vineyard is in the village of Monnieres and the fruit is raised using biodynamic principles, hand harvested and fermented in an Egg. The wine spent 5 months on lees prior to bottling. This is a really revealing, expressive Muscadet which joins the vanguard of wines that lead the way in this exciting terroir. Very limited availability.

This is an intense and vital wine and likeso many biodynamic wines, it has a strong, ripe apple fruit as well as density, a truly satisfying texture and a hint of this season`s most fashionable ingredient, salinity. The long finish is satisfyingly dry and we`d be happy to recommend it for drinking over the next year or even two.

Jancis Robinson has made Terre de Gneiss her wine of the week. Grown biodynamically - a truly wonderful, expressive wine.
