Helped by great determination and clear stylistic ideals Massimo Di Lenardo is quickly becoming one of the most respected figures in Italy; producing bench mark Friulian wines. Since 1987 Massimo has vinified exclusively from his own, hand harvested vineyards which nowadays are almost all planted with density at between 4,500 and 6,500 plants per hectare with very limited yields. The white wines are all fermented in stainless steel with prolonged lees contact. They all show great richness, especially considering their price tag, while retaining freshness and above all defined varietal character.
Pale straw with greenish tints, delicate but very aromatic on the nose with aromas of melon, sage and peach. Taste corresponds to what is perceived by the nose, it is balanced and elegant with fresh acidity followed by an oily mouth feel and a persistent aftertaste of fig syrup and tropical fruity flavours.
