Rioja Reserva, Contino, 75cl
All Contino wines are made from grapes exclusively grown on the 62 hectare estate located in Laserna, near the town of Laguardia in the Rioja Alavesa wine making region. This was the first single estate concept in the Rioja region and was established in 1973. Once the grapes have been de-stalked the juice is fermented in stainless steel vats at a temperature of 28-30 degrees with a maceration time of 15-20 days prior to malolactic fermentation taking place. The wine is then transferred to a mixture of French and American oak barrels for two years. Once the wine is bottled, it is kept another year in bottle prior to being released. A very fruity and intense nose with hints of strawberry, blueberry, vanilla with a round and velvety finish.
Tempranillo, Carignan, Graciano
