StyleRipe & Juicy
The Bodega de Sarria lies on a large and beautiful estate in the hills above Puenta la Reina, near Pamplona in Northern Spain.
Their Crianza, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo, is bursting with red fruit, a year being aged in American oak gives a wonderful vanilla note in the background, there's also toasty & balsamic nuances to give an extra dimension to the wine, medium to full in body its works fantastically well with Spannish cured meats.
2009 Vintage: Sommelier Wine Awards 2013 - Gold & By The Glass Award
2009 Vintage: "Value and food-friendliness marked this out from the start. 'Juicy, full-bodied and full of flavour, gutsy yet not crude – cracking value,' said team leader, Richard Bampfield MW. 'Tangy red berry aromas, the palate is well balanced and appealling, with spicy fruity and a zingy finish,' said Richard Brooks of Caroline Catering. Gutsy wine needs gutsy food: think lamb, pizza or steak." Sommelier Wine Awards 2013, Judges Comments
