Key features

Grape VarietyCabernet Sauvignon, Merlot

StyleFull Bodied & Rich

Located in the village of Jau Lignac in the very north of the Medoc region. The vineyards are actually located next to those owned by Cos d’Estournel at Goulee and are a blend of Cabernet and Merlot with a touch of Franc and Carmenere. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and fermented in French oak barrique and typically 30,000 bottles are produced. The 2010 vintage still in its naissance but is classically formed and incredibly elegant, and will age for another 5 or 6 years.

Soft, complex, smoky nose with forward, earthy, damson and raspberry fruits. Rich, suave, rounded, full-bodied and quite chocolatey, but there’s no lack of ripe blackberry and cassis fruit with a touch of smoky tobacco. There’s an appealing spiciness on the finish.
