StyleFull & Opulent
Helped by great determination and clear stylistic ideals Massimo Di Lenardo is quickly becoming one of the most respected figures in Italy; producing bench mark Friulian wines. Since 1987 Massimo has vinified exclusively from his own, hand harvested vineyards which nowadays are almost all planted with density at between 4,500 and 6,500 plants per hectare with very limited yields. The white wines are all fermented in stainless steel with prolonged lees contact. They all show great richness, especially considering their price tag, while retaining freshness and above all defined varietal character.
The grapes for 'Just Me' are harvested very late and then left to partially dry for 1 month before fermentation. After this it was aged for 15 months in small American oak barrels. Hugely complex and rich but with very good balance.
