Located in San Bernardo just minutes from Santiago, in the heart of the Maipo Valley. It has a perfect combination of a warm temperate Mediterranean climate with a long, dry summer. The soils are alluvial, with little organic matter and a core of abundant stones and sand which allows deep root systems to develop.
The work in the vineyard consists of producing a small number of clusters per plant (1 kilo of grapes or 1 bottle of wine), with small clusters and tiny grapes. All this results in concentrated aromas and flavours. The grapes are selected three times to ensure the purity of the flavours. The vinification is traditional, in the style of Bordeaux, with long macerations lasting 3 to 5 weeks. Once this process is complete, the wine is transferred to casks for malolactic fermentation and subsequent ageing for a period of 18 months. It is cleared with egg-white, decanted for two months and bottled without filtering.
Aroma is reminiscent of fresh red and black fruits, with a quite outstanding complexity provided by spices such as vanilla and cinnamon with subtle notes of cloves. Its youth also reveals scents of dried flowers and cypress, resulting from its ageing in wood.
