Low yields per hectare, devoted research into the terroir, organic winegrowing and great attention to sustainability – thanks to the photovoltaic system enabling them to work with zero energetic impact – combined with the highest quality of the job conducted in the cellar: those are the main characteristics of the work done by the Mottura family estate. The result is a range of wines among the best produced in Italy, in particular those made out of Grechetto grapes. The Mottura estate is nestled among the hills surrounding Civitella d’Agliano on the border between Lazio and Umbria, in an area historically suited to the cultivation of white grape varieties. Here, among other wines, a characterful and elegant 100% Grechetto is produced bringing us a complex wine that can age very well. Sergio Mottura has been awarded best winemaker of the year by the Gambero Rosso Guide.
