FMC Chenin Blanc, Ken Forrester, 75cl
£38.75

'The pinnacle of what we consider to be the finest expression of the grapes of this varietal – an icon chenin, a challenge to the world! Rich, layered with dried apricot, vanilla and honey. Will gain additional complexity with cellaring.'
Rich, layered with dried apricot, vanilla and honey. Will gain additional complexity with cellaring. The pinnacle of what can be considered to be one of the finest expression of the grapes of this varietal. An iconic chenin. The flagship wine, The FMC has a beautifully defined, intoxicating bouquet with lemon curd, frangipane, almond and just a touch of nutmeg. The palate has a rounded, waxy texture with wonderful harmony and precision. There are subtle flavours of dried apricot, brioche, vanilla, a touch of honey (perhaps a little botrytis) and a hint of spice. Seductive, harmonious and very focussed, The FMC is a sublime expression of South African Chenin Blanc.

Expert reviews
"a highly polished creation with stunning juiciness, breeding and undeniable style. The wild yeast brioche notes, coupled with the hints of botrytis and preening oak detail make this the Cape’s finest and most imposing Chenin." Matthew Jukes-December 20.
