This wine is produced from a single vineyard plot at an altitude of 650m. The vines, at an age of 85 years, produce small quantities of incredibly charismatic grapes. After the harvest, the grapes are then carefully sorted on the winery's selection table to ensure that only the healthiest berries are fermented. This, paired with a careful fermentation in oak at 20°C, helps to produce a wine with clean fruit flavours, a better integration of oak and a richer texture.
Made up of 90% Malvasia and 10% Viura grown on chalky clay soils. The casks used for fermentation are 100% new French, Hungarian and Croatian.
Straw yellow, the wine is noticeably deeper in colour than the Joven style. On the nose, citrus fruits with ripe peach intertwine with hints of vanilla and sweet pastry and some toasty notes. On the palate, a good balance of acidity and richly textured fruit with a long finish.
