Bishop Shiraz, Ben Glaetzer, 75cl
Deep but not inky purple-red. Immediately complex nose of black fruit, fine oak, crushed juniper, clove and resin. In the mouth intensely ripe, concentrated fruit with balanced but not too noticeable acidity. Liquorice-like richness on the back-palate. The old-vine intensity and texture of this wine make the tannin hardly noticeable.

"Polished and pure, this modern wine expertly combines the fruit of Shiraz with the spice of Syrah. Sweet blackberries and oak with a herbal edge, meat, pepper, perfume and violets are all underpinned by spice and integrated tannins. For such a big wine, it displays genuine elegance and subtlety." "Dark, bitter chocolate runs alongside stewed fruit and smoky barbecue aromas, with intense black fruits and liquorice on the palate. 'With nice fleshy tannins, sweet spices and smoky oak, this is ripe and plump,' said Olivier Marie of Coq d'Argent."
