Longrow 21 Year Old, 2019 Release, 70cl
Newly added to the Longrow core range, the 21 year old was aged in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks. A very exciting addition to the range and limited to only 3,600 bottles.
Nose: There's a rich and meaty smoke, like beef jerky and Iberico ham followed by toffee, salted popcorn and honeydew melon.
Palate: Initially dark forest fruits and prunes, then a rich creaminess, amaretti biscuits and sweet dried coconut. This is balanced with fennel, pine needles and a delicate spiciness.
Finish: It's a delicious smooth finish with a citrus/orange tang, concluding on a luxurious velvet note with a touch of smoke.
