Thyme Liqueur, Bigallet
Located in Isère in the French Alps and created in the 19th century, the Bigallet distillery produces liqueurs and regional specialities such as Génépi Le Grand Tetras, Thyme liqueur and China China.
Bigallet is also the founder of the famous Citronade, a lemon cordial, which is still produced in the same way as when it was first created, with macerated lemon zests that are distilled and then mixed with sugar cane syrup. At first this was an alcoholic product but became alcohol-free thanks to a special manufacturing process.
This liqueur is created by the slow maceration and distillation of thyme sprigs. Thyme is an aromatic plant which brings a very subtle aroma to the liqueur, reminiscent of French Provence.
