Edmond Briottet, Creme de Figue (Fig) Liqueur
The current head of the maison, Gerard Briottet, represents the fourth generation of the family and continues the tradition started by his great grandfather, Edmond Briottet, in 1836 at 12 rue Berlier in Dijon, France. These are some of the most highly regarded liqueurs by bartenders and restaurateurs worldwide and are of superb quality.
The fig is grown throughout the Mediterranean basin. The Egyptians used figs for wine-making, the Gauls from Southern France used them to sweeten their dishes. Try the Crème de Figue as in Malta, with delicious nougat, or add to the dressing for a fig salad.
