Curatolo Arini is a historic winery, established in 1875 by Vito Curatolo Arini. Now in its fifth generation of family ownership, it is the oldest family-owned Marsala producing business.
This wine's stunning label was designed by Ernesto Basile, a famous architect in Palermo during the latter part of the 19th century. The label has a distinctive art nouveau style.
The new range of wines from Curatolo Arini showcase a great expression of native Sicilian grape varieties. The grapes for Marsala Superiore Dolce come from the coastal area of Marsala. The special microclimate, with cooling maritime breezes, allows the grapes to reach full ripeness with high sugar levels, while retaining a refreshing, balancing acidity. This gives the wines their typical elegance and richness.
This Marsala wine has a dark amber colour, with aromas of dried figs, almonds, honey, and vanilla. On the palate, it is round and soft, with fresh notes of dried fruit, nuts, and honeysuckle. The finish is pleasantly sweet and clean.
